Pinehurst woman charged for allegedly stealing car | North Idaho News Now

A Pinehurst woman is charged with robbery after police say she allegedly stole a car last month.

On Mar. 18, Kootenai County Deputies pulled over a matching description of a vehicle that was reported stolen earlier that day.

An Illinois silver Hyundai Sante Fe was reportedly rented by 39-year-old Kathy K. Zimmerman. She told police in Oct. of 2020 that her boyfriend rented the car and that she didn't know it was stolen.

Her boyfriend later called the rental company and told them that Zimmerman took the vehicle from him.

After no proof of renting the vehicle, she was arrested by officers during the traffic stop.

Zimmerman is now being held on a $5,000 bail.
