A Spokane man, who is accused of possessing child pornography is heading to district court.


36-year-old Chadlen D. Smith was arrested back in January of this year for allegedly stalking a Post Falls Police Department employee.


Electronics in Smith's possession were seized during his arrest. His devices reportedly held multiple images of nude children, as well as other photos of children that did not qualify as child pornography, according to the Coeur d'Alene Press.


On Jan. 11, Smith was arrested again, this time for suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor. He was then released from jail the next day because charges had not yet been filed, according to records.


On Jan. 22, a warrant for his arrest was issued. He was later arrested on Jan. 29.


Smith is charged with sexual exploitation of a child by possession, which is a felony, and with distribution/exhibition of obscene material, a misdemeanor.


Smith is being held on a $50,000 bail.
