A Post Falls man has been charged with attempted strangulation as a result of allegedly choking his wife after she asked him to stop playing video games.
Police responded to the residence Friday night. The wife told police that she finished working from home when she entered the couple's bedroom and found the 38-year-old playing video games. She asked him to stop playing, according to the Coeur d'Alene Press.
The husband allegedly got up, grabbed her by the throat and threw her onto the bed where he choked her.
She allegedly pulled her phone from her pocket to dial 911 when she said her husband took it from her and threw it across the room.
Police say she had a consistent red mark around her neck from being grabbed with force.
Police arrested the 38-year-old and he's now being held on a $25,000 bail.
We did not name the suspect because that would reveal the identity of the victim.
