Coeur d’Alene woman wins $500,000 lottery prize | North Idaho News

Coeur d’Alene resident, Orlene Peterson, won $500,00 from two Idaho Lottery scratch tickets.

It’s about a one in 282.5 million chance of winning half a million dollars by purchasing two winning tickets over two consecutive days from two different stores and in two different towns, but Peterson did it.

Her first winning ticket, worth $200,000, was purchased early Friday morning from the Albertsons in Hayden.

The next morning, she was at Fred Meyers in Coeur d’Alene where she bought the last winning ticket on the game Comin’ in Hot.

“When I scanned it and said I had to claim it at the lottery, I thought maybe it was $1,000. I never imagined it would be $300,000 and that it happened again. The next day,” Peterson told the Coeur d’Alene Press.

Peterson says she plans to pay off bills, buy a new truck, and maybe take a trip to Las Vegas.
